A Pink Polka-Dotted Baby Shower

I had a fabulous time co-hosting my beautiful friend's baby shower. Her sister, Erin, and I decided that a pink and polka-dot theme would not only be festive, but also perfect for a new baby girl. In addition to pink polka-dotted favours, decorations, and ribbons we asked the guests to "think polka-dots" when wrapping...the results were absolutely adorable!

Jessica - The beautiful new mother with Baby Myra

Adam - The doting father

{Favours} Our favours were a hit! Mini pink, white, and polka-dotted boxes wrapped in paper & ribbon, and stuffed with a handful of chocolate kisses!

{Handmade Prizes} Stamped & embossed stationary with a special note to the winners "Thank you for celebrating Jessica and Baby Myra". I made several sets in a variety of colours!

{Decorations} I wanted the decorations for this shower to be simple, yet elegant. We went with a variety of pink and white flowers and wrapped each of the vases with a pink polka-dotted ribbon. We also found some beautiful paper stars in pink & polka-dots (thank you Kim!).

These Paper Stars are from Martha Stewart's line of crafts and can be found at Michaels.

{Details} I absolutely love attention to detail, especially when it comes to special events, such a showers. Here, we tied pink ribbon to the stem of each wine glass and to the top of each pencil.

{Games} As guests arrived, we asked them to look closely at three jars filled with little goodies and to guess how many were in each jar. Each of the winners were able to take home the jar and its contents!

One of my favorite games to play at a baby shower is the "Baby Quiz". It's filled with cute baby related questions, as well as questions pertaining to the new baby, mother, and father.

At the end of each shower, I always present the guest of honor with custom thank you notes and pre-addressed envelopes. One less thing for the new mommy & daddy to worry about.
